Cuyahoga Community College

Communications Convergence Analysis

Situation:      Cuyahoga Community College wanted to grow enrollment in its Health Career Division.

Objective:

  1. Determine the most cost-effective ways to grow CCC Health Careers Division enrollment.
  2. Consider specific methods to attract males, Hispanics, African-Americans and Asians.
  3. Evaluate current marketing communications materials; how they work together and individually.
  4. Talk to the community about its needs and explore ways to meet these needs.
  5. Determine special requirements of program managers; particularly those with available capacity.

Strategy:      Stevens Baron Communications undertook a Communications Convergence Analysis, a research survey that considers all markets, audiences, messages and media to determine the most effective convergence points and most appropriate public relations

techniques.

Execution:      Stevens Baron Communications interviewed program managers, senior management,   customers at the major healthcare systems in the area, students, alumni and media. These findings, along with specific recommendations were prepared as part of a Power Point presentation given to key CCC management.

Results:      Stevens Baron Communications made three presentations to over 120 CCC staff and faculty members.  The recommendations were warmly embraced and will be implemented by Cuyahoga Community College’s in-house communications and marketing team. Stevens Baron Communications will provide services as needed.
